process is as follows:
Eligibility criteria: This is informed before hand by the placement
coordinator.
Online Test: The online aptitude test was no different from
others which consisted of three sections namely: Quantitative ability, logical
ability, verbal ability.
Quantitative
ability: The questions in this section were very simple. It mainly tests our
speed of calculation and approach towards the problem. Time was the major
constraint in this section.
Logical
ability: This section consisted of few logical puzzles which definitely need a
particular approach to solve.
Verbal
ability: This section consisted of few high frequency word of GRE and also a
few questions on the English grammar. I suggest you all to read word power made
easy as it is sufficient to answer more than 60% of antonyms and synonyms in
all the written exams.
Each
section had got a sectional cutoff which is dependent on the number of persons
they are willing to hire.
Technical round: This is the first round in the process of
interviewing which is done by a senior software engineer.
The interviewer mainly concentrates on
your level understanding the concepts in C and C++. The questions were mainly
dependent on the problem solving skills of the student. Interviewer asks to
write the code for problem statements. I suggest everyone to be well prepared
for coding for any problem statement. The interviewer will ask puzzles and also
asks the student to alter the code which we have written in a different
approach. This is the very important round in the process as most of the
students may get rejected in this round. The ability to code for a given
statement is the only thing which helps you in cracking this round.
The
following round is taken by a senior manager who tests your skills in problem
solving. It was almost similar to the technical round except the technical
part. Senior manager asks the student to write a few basic programs. I request
all to concentrate on the code as many people may get rejected if they commit a
single mistake in writing the simple codes.
A good idea to impress your interviewer is
to write more than one code for the same problem statement. The manager will be
asking you personal information and few situational questions which reflect the
psychology of the student dependent upon the stand taken by him.
HR round: This round was similar to all the HR interviews.
There will be two HRs asking you questions simultaneously. Don’t panic and
don’t get tensed. Be cool and you will definitely crack this round. If you have
already got placed in any other company make sure that you have a valid and
justifying reason to join in ADP. Make necessary research about the company and
also the projects they are working on and also the technology on which they
work. I was asked to name a few projects on which my seniors were working when
I said that I liked the culture and work life of ADP which I came to know from
my seniors. Make sure that you have a good reason to join ADP.
Final round: The final round of interview process was accent
test which is a computer based test. In this round we need to speak 30
sentences which will be displayed on the computer screen. Each sentence can be
spoken only twice. To clear this round we need to get 15 sentences correct.
Then
you will be welcomed on board by the ADP.
